Design crush: Boucherouite rug

File these lust-worthy rugs under "really amazing ish that I'll never be able to afford." But a girl can dream, right? Originating in Morocco, Boucherouite or "rag rugs" are made with leftover scraps of fabric and inexpensive materials. The abstract and colorful creations are perfect on the floor or hanging on the wall.

Lust worthy indeed however I would not put them on my floors for people to walk on but on the wall for people to admire someones hard work and artistic skills instead.

Very pretty! Although I'm with Bri, I don't think I could bare to see someone walk all over one!

I think you girls are right. All of the hard work that goes into making them and their statement-piece factor make them perfect for the wall ... Not to mention they cost a pretty penny. :)

Amanda: I would LOVE to see you make one. I bet you could do it! And thanks for linking to the recipe. I'm glad it was so yummy!

Amazing! Funny someone just commented on my Beni Ourain post that she bought too many of these rag rugs in Morocco and wants to sell them. They are very very cool!
